Cucumbers

Slicing - Great for salads, dipping in sauces, and just plain eating.

Pickling - Not as good for eating, but, as the name suggests, great for making pickles.

Lemon - A unique variety of cucumber that is round, yellow, and has a mild cucumber flavor.

Cocktail Cucumber - A 2”-4” snacking cucumber with a very compact habit that is good for container growing.

Summer Squash


Green Zucchini - A standard green zucchini, great for eating fresh, or sautéing.

Golden Zucchini - Similar to green zucchini, but a bit sweeter, with flesh a bit denser.

Yellow Crookneck - Slightly softer than a zucchini, with a similar flavor and a distinct crooked neck.

Patty Pan - A solid, flying saucer shaped squash with relatively few seeds in the center. Great for grilling or cubing.

One Ball Zucchini - A yellow zucchini that grows in the shape of a ball. Great for grilling.

Eight Ball Zucchini - Similar to One Ball but a dark green.


Pepper Varieties

Bell, Lunchbox & Banana - No heat to speak of. Changes color when ripe. One of the earliest varieties available.

Pepperoncini & Shishito - Thin-walled and wrinkly, these peppers are great for stuffing, frying, and sautéing, as well as pickling.

Anaheim - A mild pepper with soft, smoky and tangy flavors.

Ancho - A thick-walled dark green pepper that is occasionally spicy. Fantastic for stuffing or chile rellenos

Jalapeno - Mildly hot, great for salsas, jalapeno poppers, and seasoning.

Serrano - Slightly hotter than a Jalapeno, but still with excellent flavor.

Habanero - Very hot, turns orange when ripe. Complex and sweet flavor. Makes great jelly.

Scotch Bonnet - The traditional yellow pepper from the Caribbean. Great smoky and fruity flavors with a big kick of spice.

Ghost, Scorpion & Reaper - Extremely spicy and all parts of the pepper should be handled with great care. Plants will need a hot environment to grow successfully.

Standard Tomatoes


Better Boy Plus - HybridA spectacular, mid-season variety with plump, juicy, deep red tomatoes that often weigh more than one pound. Fruits are extremely flavorful, with flesh that's juicy, yet firm.  A highly adaptable variety that thrives in nearly any climate. Demonstrates excellent disease resistance.  Indeterminate

Big Beef Plus -  A large 10-12 oz. beefsteak tomato with excellent disease resistance and a rich red color. Among the best flavor for beefsteak tomatoes. Indeterminate.

Better Bush -  A red tomato with an old fashioned flavor and good tanginess. While not a true determinate, short internodes make this a much shorter tomato than most indeterminates. Color is a traditional red with large fruits.

Bush Early Girl - A standard sized tomato on strong plants that are great for container gardening. Plants are generally self supporting and produce large amounts of fruit. Determinate.

Chef’s Choice Orange -  A low acid and well flavored orange beefsteak with high yields. Fairly large fruits at 8-10 oz.  Color is a dark orange. Taste typically lacks the tanginess associated with red tomatoes and instead is sweeter and more mild.

Celebrity Plus - Hybrid.  Highly adaptable from Canada to the South. Medium sized, globe-shaped fruits are crack-resistant and average 7 oz. Semi-determinate.

Lemon Boy Plus - Hybrid.  72 days.  7 oz. yellow fruits are slightly tangy, yet sweet, mild, meaty and smooth.  Perfect for slicing.  Indeterminate.

New Girl   - Hybrid. 62 days.   4-6 oz. red fruits, similar in size to Early Girl.  Better flavor and more disease resistant than Early Girl.  Indeterminate.  

Pink Berkeley Tie Die   - A pink tomato with green/yellow stripes, Berkely rivals even the finest heirlooms in terms of flavor with abundant sweetness and complexity.


Heirloom Tomatoes

Anna Russian - An early heart shaped tomato with pink flesh and outstanding flavor. Excellent for eating and sauce with thin skin and not too many seeds. Indeterminate.

Black Russian - A smaller black heirloom variety, Black Russian has dark skin and flesh and a sweet taste that complements its naturally rich and earthy flavor. Indeterminate.

Bloody Butcher - A very early red tomato that is great for most uses. Fruits are small and have a rich flavor. Plants will continue to produce tomatoes until frost and greatly benefit from staking. Indeterminate.

Cherokee Purple -  Medium-large, 8-12 oz. fruits.  Color is dusky pink with dark shoulders.  Interior ranges from purple to brown to green.  Relatively short vines.

Cosmonaut Volkov - A large red-orange fruit with green shoulders, this Ukrainian tomato has flavor that is described as “celestial” and “out of this world”. Indeterminate.

Oregon Spring - An Oregon bred favorite, Oregon Spring performs best in cool summers and ripens even in years when other tomatoes struggle. Bears red fruits with few seeds and fantastic flavor for an early variety. Determinate.

San Marzano II Roma - An old world tomato from Parma, Italy, and one of the best known Roma varieties. Romas are considered to be the best paste-type tomato, perfect for sauces, pastes and ketchup. Its heavy crops of bright red, pear-shaped fruits are nice and meaty, with very few seeds.  Indeterminate

Rutgers - Open pollinated - introduced in 1934. All-purpose variety, ideal for canning. Ripens evenly from inside out. Bright red fruits with heavy walls average about 7 oz. Attractive, old-time favorite. Full-bodied flavor and disease resistant. Determinate.


Cherry Tomatoes

Esterina -   Massive yields of yellow fruit on big clusters.  Flavor is very sweet, but well balanced with a tangy kick.  Open plant for easy access and good airflow.  Resists cracking.  High resistance to verticillium wilt.  Indeterminate.

Honey Bee -   A red cherry tomato with yellow striping.  Indeterminate but with a more compact habit than other cherry tomatoes

SunGold - A positively luscious, bite-size golden beauty overflowing with an abundance of fruits - thin-skinned, with a juicy flesh that holds its oh-so-sweet, fresh-from-the-vine flavor. Cascading trusses are smothered in fruits that remain ripe and ready for picking over long periods of time.

SunPeach -   A pink variety that is resistant to cracking, a prolific producer, and has a fantastic and sweet cherry tomato taste. Indeterminate.

Supersweet 100 - A reliable cherry tomato with prolific yields of great tasting, ½ oz. fruits produced in large clusters.  Widely adapted.  High resistance to fusarium wilt and verticillium wilt.  Indeterminate.

Tidy Treats -  Hybrid. Easily used with standard tomato cages. Good snacking size and sweet flavor. Only recommended for container growing. Dwarf indeterminate. 


Cocktail Tomatoes

Blush -  An oblong tomato with a bright yellow color and overlay of red stripes. Great for snacking with a bright, sweet, and fruity flavor. Indeterminate. 

Clementine - An orange cocktail tomato with a unique sweet & tart flavor. Great for roasting.

Glacier -  One of our earliest tomatoes, Glacier nonetheless has good sweetness and moderate acidity. Fruits are small at 1-2 oz. and make for good snacking tomatoes. Determinate.


Grape Tomatoes

Five Star - A firm, meaty, red grape sized tomato with good flavor.


Winter Squash

Acorn (compact plant)

Green (standard)
A fall classic with bright orange flesh and timeless squash flavor that is great for eating with sweet or savory seasoning.
Carnival (green & yellow)
Excellent for eating, similar to a standard acorn, but slightly more decorative.
Mashed Potatoes (white)
White skinned, white fleshed and similar to, as the name suggests, mashed potatoes.

Mini Blue Hubbard (medium vine)

Sweet, orange fleshed, and less fibrous than a full-sized Blue Hubbard. This squash stores well but has a skin that is much more tender than its larger cousin.

Butternut (large vine)

Butterfly (standard)
A fall classic. This fine-grained, orange-fleshed, squash is great as a puree, in soups and stews, and roasted.
Honeynut (butternut x buttercup)
A cross between a butternut and a buttercup, this butternut variety is sweet, rick and a fantastic roaster, as well as a great base for soup.
Autumn Frost (butternut x pumpkin)
A unique frosted tan butternut variety with many of the same flavor and texture characteristics of a standard butternut. Great for roasting, pureeing, or steaming.

Buttercup (large vine)

A fantastic storage squash with a sweet flavor, this squash is virtually stringless and is great for boiling, baking, and steaming, but especially for roasting with maple syrup and a dash of salt and pepper.

Delicata (compact plant)

A delicately skinned squash, so much so that you can eat the skin, Delicata is a sweet and tender squash that works well sliced into rings and roasted with your favorite seasonings.

Orange Cutie Kabocha (compact plant)

A bright orange kabocha with bright orange flesh. Well flavored and more moist than some kabochas. Floral and sweet flavor.

North Georgia Candy Roaster (large vine)

A delicious squash with smooth light orange flesh. Great for baking due to its small seed cavity.

Spaghetti (medium vine)

A large oval squash with mild flavor and pale-yellow flesh. When cooked,  it shreds into strands that resemble spaghetti. Can be treated just like spaghetti noodles or topped with seasonings and sour cream.

Stripetti (medium vine)

A cross between Delicata and spaghetti squash, Stripetti has the characteristic sweet flavor of a Delicata but forms tender strands much like a spaghetti squash.

Porcelain or Blue Doll (large vine)

Blue Doll and Porcelain Doll are some of our best eating pumpkins. Very dense flesh and great for storage, these pumpkins have a fantastic pumpkin flavor. Great for baking – just cut in half and roast cut side down until tender, then pull the skin off.

Long Island Cheese (large vine)

A favorite pumpkin at the farm, this is a great eating pumpkin with smooth flesh and some of the best pumpkin flavor.
