Pruning Workshop
Learn the basics of fruit tree and berry pruning. This three-hour session will cover the basics of pruning fruit trees, blueberry bushes, and grape vines, including the selection of pruning tools, fundamentals of pruning cuts, and hands-on practice in the orchard at Blackberry Bog Farm in Svensen.
Grafting Workshop
A unique chance to learn how to graft your own apple trees! Each class will include instruction, rootstock, scion wood (the part that makes the apples), and five apple trees that are yours to take home.
Build a
Hanging Basket
An opportunity to express your creativity and build your very own hanging basket or planter. You’ll get to take your creation home the same day and watch it flourish into a beautiful work of art.
Mother’s Day Delivery
Want to surprise the special mothers in your life? Mother’s day delivery is a fantastic way to show your appreciation by getting hanging baskets or baked goods delivered to their door.
Tea in the Garden
Another new addition for 2024!
Enjoy the gardens at Blackberry Bog with a cup of tea and snacks! Baked goods and drinks are handcrafted on site by our talented bakers and served in the beautiful display gardens.
Flower Bouquet Workshop
Available once flowers start to bloom!
Learn about the various flowers we grow for bouquets and how to make a good bouquet. Then, cut flowers and craft them into a bouquet of your own that you get to take home with you.
Farm Tours
Farm tours are available during the growing season (March - September). Tours are about an hour and cover the entirety of Blackberry Bog Farm.
Summer
Farm to Table Dinners
A plated, outdoor dinner, from some of the finest local chefs. Produce, berries, and proteins are all sourced locally (Clatsop, Columbia, or Pacific County)
Summer Seminar Series
Join us at the farm for free informational sessions on choosing the right plants, taking care of them, and how to get the most out of your gardens. No need to sign up, it’s free and no reservations are required.

Pumpkin Patch
The Pumpkin Patch is free, and includes a beautiful walk through our display gardens, tons of pumpkins, baked goods, and a treasure hunt for the kids. If you’re looking for a private play area to enjoy with your family & friends, we have that too. Private play areas include life sized path to pumpkinville (imagine candyland), corn hole, ladder toss, a covered picnic table, and other fun games.
Winter
Wreath Making
A fantastic holiday event, this is a chance to make your own wreath and decorate it with greens, dried flowers, and whatever else you want.
