One of our favorite times of the year - Making Hanging Baskets
We had a busy day yesterday. One that we have been planning for for months.
Late last year we spent days going through seed catalogs looking at all the gorgeous pictures of flowers and foliage trying to decide what we were going to have for sale at the Farm Stand this year.
Then we ordered all the plants, seeds, and baskets. We made a few trips to pick up the tons of soil that we would need from outside of Portland.
The seeds were planted and grew, Scott brought back pots from his trip back East to visit his parents, the plants were delivered, and then the fun began.
Thanks to our AMAZING employees we were able to plant 800+ hanging baskets in one day. We still have a few more to go, but should finish up early in the week with this first batch.
Wait until you see all the beautiful new flowers and color combinations. Don’t worry, we will have our standard offerings as well. Last year yellows and oranges were the first to go… will be interesting to see what catches people’s attention this year.
